A vegan Indian street food stall and a food stall serving loaded baked potatoes open later this year at Chattahoochee Food Works, the 31-stall food hall in northwest Atlanta backed by Andrew Zimmern and Robert Montwaid in the Underwood Hills neighborhood.
Several stalls have already opened this month at the food hall, including Thai-food stall TydeTate Kitchen, Graffiti Breakfast, Pomodoro Bello, Baked Kitchen, Sakura Ramen Bar, and Bánh Mì Station.
The new stalls
Owned by chef and Food Network personality Palak Patel, Dash and Chutney will serve vegan takes on Indian street food dishes. Patel has appeared on Chopped and Beat Bobby Flay, and was a top four contestant on season 14 of Food Network Star. Patel also helped create menus for Dinner Lab supper club events in several cities, including Atlanta where she now lives.
Owned and operated by chef Dianna Palmer, It’s Baked Baby began as a pop-up serving out of Atlanta establishments like Our Bar ATL on Edgewood Avenue. Palmer’s menu is all about comfort food and home-cooked meals centered around the humble baked potato. Baked potatoes come topped with flank steak, caramelized onions, cheese, and chives as well as spuds topped with everything from shrimp, fried chicken thigh nuggets, and braised collards.
Five additional stalls were announced last month for the food hall. Belen de la Cruz – Empanadas and Pastries, Hippie Hibachi, Philly G Steaks, Cubanos ATL, and Monster Cravings cookies all open within the coming weeks. A third Atlanta-area location of dog park and bar Fetch Park opens this year at the Works complex within green space adjacent to the parking deck near the entrance from Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard.
Chattahoochee Food Works is part of the the Works complex, an overhaul of several warehouses set along an industrial strip off of Chattahoochee Avenue on the edge of the Underwood Hills and Blandtown neighborhoods. Once complete, the 80-acre development will feature 500 residences, a boutique hotel, retail shops and food hall, a 13-acre green space, and full-service outposts of Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q and California-based breakfast and brunch restaurant the Waffle Experience. Scofflaw Brewing opened Dr. Scofflaw’s Laboratory and Beer Garden at the Works last fall.
Open daily. Masks required.
