The R.D. Offutt Park Rapids farm team is inviting community members to an “all-you-can-dig party” at the seventh annual Potato Field Days.
On Oct. 1-3, from sunrise till sunset, those interested can bring potato forks and buckets to an RDO field west of Park Rapids and dig to their heart’s content, according to a news release.
Park Rapids Farm Manager Luke Warmbold said he’s excited to welcome community members to dig potatoes.
“For many residents in our community, the annual potato field day has become a tradition,” Warmbold said. “We love being able to share a little of what we do in farming and stay connected with our friends, neighbors and local residents at this event.”
From Park Rapids, take Hwy. 24 west for five miles. Then, head south on County Road 117 for one mile to 170th Street. On 170th Street, go east for .25 miles. The field will be on the south side of the road and marked with signs and flags.
